How to Increase Sales and Make Your Business BOOM

How to Increase Sales and Make Your Business BOOM

Are you frustrated at your sales? Do you feel stuck on how to increase your sales and meet your goals?

You're not alone in this. Every entrepreneur battles this question daily.

But here is something that worked for us in our candle business:

1) Create an avatar of your ideal customer. Give them a name. What do they like to watch on tv? Do they read? What books do they read? What kind of hobbies are they into? Do they have a favorite sports team? What do they eat? What do they wear? Where do they shop? What do they smell like? What kind of car do they drive? What kind of shoes to they wear? NO DETAIL IS TOO SMALL for your customer avatar. Understanding your target customer will help you develop your marketing plan. How you would target a customer who shops only during sales is not how you would market to a customer who shops at Saks on a regular.

2) Get in the mindset of your ideal customer. If you were your target customer, what do you look for in a product? Are you more into the ingredients or do you prefer more of an experience? Do you care about branding? If so, what brands speak to you? What colors speak to you? Is your target customer a minimalist? Or do they love organized chaos? Think like your target customer!

3) Not everyone is your customer. Get comfortable with this. Not everyone will connect with your brand. Not everyone will like the products you're selling or even the scents you offer. And that's ok. Because once you get comfortable with your target customer, you will be able to find them quicker while you weed out the ones that don't really vibe with your brand.

These are just some of the things that have helped us increase our sales in our candle business and of course, constantly looking at the data to see what is working, what isn't working and what we need to continue doing or what we need to tweak has been a constant to-do for us. Do you have other strategies? We'd love to hear from you!
